The art of using what you already have

Looking to buy the newest most expensive tools is a passive form of procrastination. In order to get started and make a difference, you don't need to have the fanciest tools.

It doesn't matter who you are and what you do, in the vast majority of cases, you only need the basics to go far and make a difference.

I started creating visuals on an old paper notebook, then I bought a cheap plastic laptop and I learned to use GIMP, a free alternative to Photoshop. To keep myself motivated I decided that I would invest in a second-hand iPad Pro the day I started to make some money from freelance work.

Don't let the algorithm convince you that in order to do amazing work you need to upgrade your tools every year. We live in an age of abundance, so we only really need a laptop and an internet connection to start moving forward.
